The Ancient Cwmbran and the Cistercians Project aims to investigate several sites of archaeological interest in the Thornhill and Greenmeadow areas of Cwmbran over a 12 month period. This work will be carried out with volunteers from the community. The project will also celebrate the medieval pilgrim heritage of the area through a complimentary art project, to produce an effigy of St Derfel, a medieval crop growing project and the production of a circular heritage walk leaflet for the area.
