The Bath and Camerton Educational Outreach project. Archaeology for All

The Bath and Camerton Society is one of the countries leading Archaeological societies and has now been running for 50 years. BACAS has an extensive programme of excursions, lectures and fieldwork throughout the year.

BACAS obtained a grant from the Heritage Lottery to create the post of an Educational Officer to run a community educational outreach programme. This has now been running for more than a year with visits to groups and school and return visits, open days and activities organised at the societies excavation site at Upper Row Farm. The project has been very successful and won The Graham Webster Laurels for the best education project within archaeology.

To view further information about the project including video clips of open days and press releases please follow the link below and then go to Educational project on the left hand selection menu. Further links are available in blue on these pages which cover all aspects of the project.
