We have Local Heritage Initiative funding for a project called 'Local People - Local Past', which is engaged in surveying seven roman villa sites by means of fieldwalking, geophysical survey and trial trenches . Part of our community archaeology remit is to share survey results with anyone who wishes to make their own interpretation: we have made a start on this through the 'Local People - Local Past' web site...














One of our participating organisations is the Whitehall Farm Roman Villa and Landscape Project which is engaged in a major 10 year excavation, featured in the Time Team Big Roman Dig in 2005...
