Dr Robert Isherwood, BEd, BA(Hons), MA, Ph D. The author worked as a teacher for over twenty years before retraining as an archaeologist. He has recently completed a Ph D at Manchester University∞, which examined the practice of community archaeology in the United Kingdom. He has also worked as an educational archaeologist on a number of community archaeology projects.
