Involving Schools in Community Archaeology ProjectsDr Robert Isherwood, BEd, BA(Hons), MA, PhD. The author worked as a teacher for over twenty years before retraining as an archaeologist. He has recently completed a PhD at Manchester University∞, which examined the practice of community archaeology in the United Kingdom. He has also worked as an educational archaeologist on a number of community archaeology projects.
This posting in the Community Archaeology Forum is intended to provide practical advice for organisers of community archaeology projects who may be considering the inclusion of school groups within their projects.
