This is an old revision of GPSArchaeologicalMappingUsingNavigationGradeInstruments from 2011-03-29 17:05:44."
SWAAG (Swaledale∞ and Arkengarthdale
Archaeology Group) was formed in the summer of 2009.

One of our first tasks was to develop a methodology for generating
'publication grade' archaeological survey maps.
A successful technique was developed using for the most part freeware downloaded
from the Internet.
The one exception being the purchase of Serif DrawPlus graphics software. An
older version of which (X3), was purchased for about £20.

The method has been published on our SWAAG website and used to produce all
the new maps in our first report which can be read

The method has been demonstrated at a recent CBA Yorkshire workshop, and is
fully documented <a href="http://www.swaag.org/publicationsSE1.htm"∞>

SWAAG can be contacted using the contact form on the website or clicking

If you find this methodology of use then please make reference to SWAAG.
"
