Heritage Toolkit for Communities

Are you intrigued by your place? Find out more about your local heritage and get involved!

These pages were created by Rosie Crook of Working Heritage, and derive from a workshop entitled 'Whose Heritage is it Anyway?' and run by the CBA and English Heritage in Castleford in 2005. The idea of the workshop was to bring together professionals and individuals active in local heritage and archaeology groups to talk together and learn from each other.

This toolkit is the outcome of those two days. It is meant to be a practical guide and a resource to help you explore the engagement with heritage that we all want, whether that engagement is through professional or voluntary activity.

These pages are designed to be commented on, added to and amended by the heritage community. Please feel free to add new pages, suggest new activities and contribute new ideas.
