I am the Archaeological & Historic Buildings Assistant at Notts County Council's Communities Department.
I was originally commissioned to work on the Nottinghamshire Castles Project in January 2004. The project has concentrated on the largely unknown minor castles of the county, and focuses on the archaeology and history of everyday life at Annesley, East Bridgford or Worksop, rather than the great political events that took place at Nottingham or Newark.
I have also been involved in many community archaeology projects and excavations such as the following: Woodland Archaeology in Sherwood Forest (2004), Raymoth Lane Community Excavation (2004), Fox Wood Community Excavation (2005), Moor Pond Wood Archaeological Project (2004-5). I have also been involved in National Archaeology Days and Heritage Open Days over the past 4 years.
