Jigsaw Cambridgeshire

Piece together your past

Do you live in Cambridgeshire? Would you like to get more involved in archaeological excavations and research?

Working through the Jigsaw project, local communities are a vital tool in helping archaeologists identify, understand and protect Cambridgeshire's rich archaeological heritage.

Jigsaw Cambridgeshire is a five-year project supported by Heritage Lottery Funding. It is a joint venture by Oxford Archaeology East and Cambridgeshire County Council. Other partners include Huntingdonshire District Council and the Council for British Archaeology.

Our aim is to help more people to get actively involved in discovering, understanding and protecting their heritage.

Jigsaw provides access to information, training and equipment, as well as developing community resources and supporting group and individual projects.

If you live in Cambridgeshire and would like to get involved in Jigsaw digs and projects, or if your local history or archaeological society would like to make use of our free equipment and training, please visit our website or email for more information.
