Please allow me to introduce myself...
I'm Seren, and have been the CBA's Assistant Information Officer since April 2005. I am mostly responsible for updating the webpages on this Britarch domain, and others we host. I also produce 'Briefing' for the magazine and keep the online versions current...or rather try to.
I originally trained as an archaeologist. My main focus was prehistory; I find human evolution the most fascinating of all. Other research interests are Gender Archaeology, disability (in both the archaeological record and profession), scientific analyses in general and the Late Iron Age to Roman of Mid & East Anglia, where I grew up. I discovered during my training excavation that I really wasn't cut out for digging, so I switched to being a desky. Now I get to do both, playing every day and being able to legitimately call it work!
I do the daily commute from Sheffield to York by train...just to give you an idea of how much I love my job. I've come a long way from the Miss Lazy-Studentitis of my undergraduate days.
I have my own, currently minimal, website at www.serendippy.me.uk∞, which I have grand plans for. I hope to be expanding it shortly. On a random note...my name means 'star' in Welsh.
