CBA Annual General Meeting

Members gather 2009 Pitt Rivers Museum

The CBA holds an Annual General Meeting each year, usually in October. The formal business of the meeting includes activity updates from the President and Director, as well as the adoption of the statutory Reports and Financial Statements. We also hold a Winter General Meeting in late February/early March each year.

Such meetings are an important part of the work of the CBA, and provide a forum for members to discuss the organisation and its activities. Members are therefore strongly encouraged to participate and aid discussions on major archaeological issues. The Annual General Meeting is also a great opportunity for CBA staff, trustees and members to meet and socialise.

Annual General Meeting 2011

1 October 2011, Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford

This year’s AGM was held as part of a full day in Oxford, which incorporated a walking tour, talks about archaeological projects in Oxfordshire and the annual de Cardi lecture.

The 33rd De Cardi lecture, which was this year given by Richard Bradley, entitled ‘British prehistory since 1948: the CBA’s research policy after sixty years’ can now be downloaded.
