CBA Regional and National Group Membership

CBA and affiliate membership of the CBA includes membership of one of our English regional groups, CBA Wales/Cymru or Archaeology Scotland (AS).

Each of these bodies sends representatives to the CBA Policy and Coordination Board, where local issues are considered alongside national issues. These independent bodies organise conferences, meetings and summer schools, publish newsletters, information, and actively present the archaeological case within their areas.

The counties covered by each English region are shown in the table below. You will be asked to select a regional group of your choice or leave the CBA to allocate you to your local region. The CBA will pass this information on to the relevant Honorary Secretary, who will then contact you directly.

Archaeology Scotland and CBA Wales/Cymru are national organisations in their own right and therefore to reflect the higher level of activity of these bodies, you are asked to pay a higher fee if you wish to become a member of these bodies, in conjunction with your CBA membership.
