Dr Gill Chitty
Head of Conservation |
Gill looks after the CBA's work influencing government policy for protecting the historic environment and our advocacy for people being involved with their local heritage. She is also responsible for the CBA's role as a national amenity society. Before working for the CBA, she was a heritage consultant, an inspector with English Heritage and a local authority archaeologist in various parts of the country. She loves landscape at all scales and has not quite relinquished a research interest in John Ruskin, stewardship of the historic environment and the political economy of heritage.
