Conservation

The CBA deals with many different aspects of caring for the archaeological resource. Our conservation interests encompass protection for the whole of the historic environment - from archaeology below ground to standing buildings and townscapes, landscapes and the natural heritage, inter-tidal and marine archaeology.

We represent these interests to Government and to policy makers. We work together with others to ensure there are opportunities for everyone to learn about and care for their heritage and to take part in understanding and protecting it.

Conservation & Community, a newsletter about our work, comes out three times a year. It is available to CBA members as part of the membership package. You can download back issues of it here, or email the conservation team to ask for a copy by post.
