General information: Pubs in York.

Many of you know Don Henson (the CBA's Head of Education and Outreach) and know of his passion for real ales, so when I asked for some suggestions of pubs to recomend to our delegates, that they might congregate in the evenings and socialise, discuss the sessions and generally enjoy this wonderful city, Don wasn't slow with a response..... here are Don's suggestions:

An excellent map of York Centre can be downloaded from the York Camra website (www.yorkcamra.free-online.co.uk/mini_guides.html).
I would personally recommend the following:

Minster Inn, Marygate;
Guy Fawkes, Low Petergate;
Brigantes, Micklegate;
Maltings, Tanners Moat;
Tap and Spile, Monkgate; (The nearest pub to the conference venue and the best place to meet up at the start of each evening.)
Yorkshire Terrier, Stonegate;
Blue Bell, Fossgate;
Black Swan, Peasholme Green;
Rook and Gaskill, Lawrence Street;
Pivo, Patrick Pool.

For food:

Masons Arms, Fishergate;
Royal Oak, Goodramgate;
Black Swan, Peasholme Green;
Maltings, Tanners Moat.
