Archaeology and Education Conference 2008.

Discounts available to CBA members.

We are offering members of the Council for British Archaeology a discount on their conference fees to reflect the reduced amount of admin required to process bookings for members who's details are already entered into our membership database.

The discount is being offered in two ways:

  1. A reduction in the full attendance rate from Ł360 to Ł330 for the whole conference; (No longer available as the conference accommodation is now full).

  2. Or
  3. A reduction in the daily rate for the conference fee from Ł80 per day to Ł70 per day

The discount has not been applied to accommodation and meals as these are fixed costs for the CBA and have no admin savings which can be passed on in the form of a discount.

Why become a CBA member?

"The government listens to what the Council for British Archaeology says. If members of the public want to shape government policy on archaeology, they should join the Council. You don’t have to be a professional to join. You just have to care about the past. Lots of children are joining its Young Archaeologists' Club. The Council provides a unique bridge between the public, professional archaeologists and government bodies."

Hugh Bayley MP, September 2007
