On Sunday 18th May, 2003 members of the Society were treated to a guided tour of Roman Lancaster, led by David Shotter and Rachel Newman. David explained the layout of the successive forts on Castle Hill while Rachel concentrated on the civil settlement which grew up to the east of the fort.
