We were privileged to be among the first to see the original Liverpool Dock following its excavation by Oxford Archaeology North in advance of the Liverpool One development. The Dock is now preserved in a custom-built visitor centre beneath the shopping complex (click here to see location).

Speke HallSpeke Hall is a superbly well-preserved example of a Tudor timber-framed house. The earliest part of the existing house dates from around 1530 and it was extended in stages during the 16th century. The house and surrounding gardens are now owned by the National Trust.
