New British Archaeology magazine No 114 in shops now!
The latest issue (no 114) of our British Archaeology magazine is out now, packed with all the usual features, with a focus on recent research from the Happisburgh, available in the shops from Friday 6 August.
This issue is the first with a more contemporary and sophisticated look. In it we discuss who really owns the past, finding the place of Boudicca’s death, a lost Anglo-Saxon church and archaeology in gaming, while Martin Carver argues that practice, not theory, defines archaeology and Martin Brown & Richard Osgood get close to war victim Private Mather.
Plus all the regular articles on Mick’s Travels with Time Team’s Mick Aston (on Jersey), On the Web, Spoilheap, In View, Science and more.
British Archaeology is a bimonthly members’ magazine from the CBA that is also available by subscription, and in larger WHSmith stores, Borders and the best independent newsagents. Members will also receive the CBA Newsletter with this issue.
As always, the magazine contains Briefing, the CBA’s comprehensive list of fieldwork, conferences and other events or activities around the UK.
