CBA job vacancy: IfA Workplace Learning Bursary in Communicating Archaeology
Applications are invited for an HLF-funded IfA Workplace Learning Bursary based at the Council for British Archaeology, based in either York or London.

The post is designed to provide the holder with a range of skills and experience which relate to different elements of communicating archaeology to various audiences, including the profession (encompassing the active voluntary sector) and the public. Since its foundation in 1944, the CBA has been at the forefront of communicating archaeology, whether through its books and newsletters, its flagship magazine British Archaeology, or through its cutting-edge online resources. The bursary holder will work with a range of CBA staff, trustees and volunteers, under the direct supervision of Dr Dan Hull (CBA Head of Information & Communications).
This programme involves experience of a wide range of different communications media, including assisting the Editor of British Archaeology magazine with the sourcing and editing of content, contributing to a publication within the CBA book programme, developing the news section of the website, adding records to the British and Irish Archaeological Bibliography, and developing suitable stories for the CBA press service. As well as gaining a wide variety of writing, editing and publication skills, the bursary holder will also benefit from working within an organisation at the centre of archaeological news in the UK.
