CBA South-West launches its new website
The brand-new site uses a great new design and has been restructured and revised.
New and energetic webmaster Henry Rothwell said, One of the purposes of the new website is to offer online publishing services to local groups who don’t have their own websites and want their material to gain a wider audience.
The new site can be found at www.britarch.ac.uk/cbasw. The Group hopes to develop the site further to improve their services to archaeology in the SW region, which comprises the historic counties of Gloucestershire, Bristol, Somerset, Devonshire and Cornwall. Users can find details of useful contacts across the region, from Finds Liaison Officers and YAC Branches to local societies and groups. The latest events are advertised, as well as news of the latest archaeological activities taking place.
The site builds on the work of Teddy Francis and Larissa Fry on the original website, and is a testament to the late Keith Gardner who, as Chairman of the South-West Group, was a driving force in getting the new site under way.
