New Archaeology Resource Pack from Yorkshire and the Humber

This newly available, downloadable resource pack was compiled as a result of an HLF-funded community project delivered by the WEA, and with ‘Archaeology for all’ in mind.

This newly available, downloadable resource pack was compiled with the senitiment of the CBA’s motto ‘Archaeology for All’ in mind but also as a result of an HLF-funded community project delivered by the Workers’ Educational Association (WEA): Yorkshire and Humber Region from 2007–09.

A range of courses in practical archaeology in the classroom, and in the field, were developed in response to a very perceptible demand for provision from individual adult learners and educational organisations in the South Yorkshire area.

The pack contains 3 modules designed to assist tutors and is intended to be used to give self-sufficiency in teaching all levels of ability.

A CD-ROM, which provides supplementary teaching resources for each module, is available at a small cost from the Sheffield administrative office of the WEA.
