Save Canterbury’s Roman Museum

Canterbury City Council is considering proposals to close its Roman museum and the Westgate Towers museum. Help convince them otherwise by signing a petition and joining a public protest on 13 February.

Entrance to the Roman Museum, Canterbury The CBA has had a number of reports that plans are being considered by Canterbury City Council to close the Roman Museum and the Westgate Towers Museum. Further commentary is provided on the Heritage Key blog. A public protest will be held on Saturday 13 February at noon outside the Roman museum, and an online petition has been created calling on the city council to drop the plans, recognising that the museums are assets to the city and should be kept open for residents and visitors alike to enjoy. The petition already has more than two thousand signatures.

Further information about both museums is available via the Canterbury City Council website.
