The CBA signs up to the Cultural Learning Alliance

The CBA has signed up to the Cultural Learning Alliance. This Alliance has been set up to advocate and support learning by children through music, live performance, visiting museums and galleries, heritage and architecture, work with writers, performers and artists. It covers all aspects of culture, including heritage. The Alliance gathers evidence for the benefits of culture in education, case studies of good practice, and supports CPD for educators. It promises to be a powerful pressure group for education for everyone working the cultural sector. Archaeology has a great deal to offer to cultural learning through the thrill and inspiration it gives to young people, and it has a long tradition of links with the arts. The CBA hopes other archaeology and heritage organisations will also sign up to the Alliance and lend their support to this worthwhile initiative.
