Monday 22 February, British Academy, London
The Winter General Meeting is usually held in February each year as part of a day symposium on the relationship between archaeology and a related discipline. The formal business of the meeting usually includes a Presidential address, a Director’s report, approval of new affiliate members, a financial report and a review of the membership fee structure.
This year's meeting will be held at the British Academy in London, and will form part of a day dedicated to marine archaeology. The day will be led by George Lambrick, Chair of the Nautical Archaeology Society, with a keynote address given by Nic Flemming of the National Oceanography Centre, University of Southampton, and talks on subjects such as developments in submerged prehistoric landscape modelling, how to involve people in marine archaeology, and the archaeology of the Severn Estuary.
Directions to the British Academy can be found here. A full programme will be available shortly.
