The society's journal is edited by David and Evelyn Baker and Jackie Hall. It aims to reflect the scope of current ecclesiastical archaeology in all time periods, both within the UK and abroad. Church Archaeology is a peer-reviewed publication, and each article is anonymously reviewed by two scholars knowledgeable in the appropriate subject.
Contributions about all types of places of worship and their burial grounds are very welcome, both in the form of long articles and shorter illustrated news items and reports. Alongside our major scholarly articles, we particularly encourage the submission of short news articles from across the whole of the British Isles and further afield, as these reports are the best way to keep up to date with the current direction of church archaeology.
Potential contributors should contact the editors at evelyn@suttons.org.uk in order to discuss details. Notes for contributors are available here.
The journal also includes an extensive book reviews section. If you have any suggestions for book reviews, or would like to review a recent book, please contact the assistant editor at jackie.hall@riveyhill.co.uk.
Volume 13 has now been sent out to society members. Volumes 14 and 15 are currently in production for publication in 2012.
